Ernest Hemingway famously said 'I drink to make other people more interesting'. If you do the same, this iconic rum cocktail is the ideal tipple. During a visit to Havana's historic Floridita restaurant, writer Ernest Hemingway tried the restaurant's own Floridita Daquiri, before asking for another with no sugar but twice as much rum. The result, with a little added grapefruit juice, is the Hemingway Special. To make a Hemingway Special you will need the following equipment:
