Blue Hawaii
The Blue Hawaii is a rare example of a great rum cocktail with undisputed origins. This bright blue concoction was invented by Harry Yee, Head Bartender at a Hawaii holiday resort. Back in 1957, Harry was asked by a distiller to create a drink that included its brand new product - a blue Curaçao liqueur - and the Blue Hawaii was born.

To make a Blue Hawaii you will need the following equipment:
  • Shaker​

Recipe:

Ingredients
White rum (25ml)
Vodka (25ml)
Blue Curaçao (15ml)
Fresh pineapple juice (100ml)
Sour mix (25ml)​
Garnish
Orange slice or pineapple triangle
​Cocktail cherry​

Method:
​How to Make a Blue Hawaii​

  • 1. Add all the ingredients to a shaker & fill up the shaker with crushed ice
  • 2. Shake well until frothy
  • 3. Pour into a hurricane glass
  • 4. Garnish with a cocktail cherry & an orange slice or pineapple triangle
