Cuba Libre: Recipe & Instructions


Cuba Libre
Created shortly after Cuba became independent at the start of the last century, the Cuba Libre (meaning Free Cuba - the slogan of Cuban pro-independence campaigners) became popular in part due to its readily available and low-cost ingredients - rum, cola and a little lime juice. ​

To make a Cuba Libre you will need the following equipment:
  • Bar spoon​

Recipe:
​Ingredients & Garnish

Ingredients
White rum (50ml)
Cola (120ml)
Lime juice (10ml)​
Garnish
Lime wedge​

Method:
​How to Make a Cuba Libre​

  • 1. Fill a highball glass with ice
  • 2. Add the rum & lime juice
  • 3. Top up with cola​
  • 4. Stir & serve with a lime wedge garnish
