Bacardi Carta Negra Rum: Review & Tasting Notes
About Bacardi Carta Negra Rum
Bacardi Carta Negra Rum, named 'negra' from the Spanish word for 'black', is produced in Puerto Rico and is a blend of molasses-based rums. The rums are aged for up to 4 years in heavily charred oak barrels before being filtered through charcoal.
World Rum Guide Review Bacardi Carta Negra Rum is an accessible entry-level rum that is best served mixed with cola or ginger beer. Fruity on the nose, with notes of passionfruit, almonds, chocolate and molasses, Bacardi Carta Negra is rich and with good body on the palate, bringing flavours of molasses, coffee, vanilla and dark chocolate. The finish is slightly bitter, with liquorice and spicy black pepper notes. - Paul Jackson, 2018 |
