The Duppy Share Spiced Caribbean Rum: Review & Tasting Notes
About The Duppy Share Spiced Caribbean Rum
Produced by a London-based company founded in 2015, The Duppy Share Spiced Caribbean Rum is a blend of two golden Caribbean rums - a 3 year old rum from Jamaica's Worthy Park Estate and a 5 year old rum from Foursquare Distillery in Barbados - with added pineapple, kola nut and other Caribbean spices.
The name refers to the Caribbean folklore which states that ghosts or spirits called 'duppies' would travel between islands to steal rum from casks. While whisky distillers talk about losing the 'Angel's Share' to evaporation, the Caribbean rum producers refer to it as the duppy share. World Rum Guide Review Coming Soon! |
